Supermarket Shuffle

This game was made during the 48 hours of the GMTK Gam Jam 2023!

Description

Supermarket Shuffle is a fast-paced simulation game, you not only manage a store, restock shelves, and assist customers at the checkout but also experience the role reversal as a customer. Stay on your toes as you navigate the vibrant retail environment, juggling the responsibilities of a supermarket employee while also experiencing what its like to be a customer in the checkout line. Remember to serve the returning customers to not make them mad and at the end leaves, noone wants to come to a shop that doesn't help their customers. Just watch out for the angry customers racing around with shoppingcarts going right through anything in their way.  So, are you ready to take on the challenge?   then jump straight into the action!

Gamplay tips

earn money by putting products up on shelves from the storage room (where you spawn) before going to the custumers to be able to pay for what the customer (you now) buys otherwise you become bankrupt and get a gameover. 

Dont let the customers wait for two long as you will get another gameover if you cant serve them in time.

Also the products slowly decrese as you play the game so dont let them go below 0 because then you will much lose money every second

You can see who you curently play as in the bottom left hand corner to know who you are.

Controls

• Movement - WASD
• Interact - E, Space & Enter
• Throw Item - F
• You interact with the buttons in the game by using the movement keys.

This game was developed by a group of three game programmers. This was our first game jam as a team, and it has been a fun experience!
